Discover the city´s coolest pokéstops and gyms!

Charmander, Pikachu, Squirtle and Jigglypuff were not entirely unknown but, in recent weeks, with the worldwide release of the Pokémon GO game, these pocket monsters have become part of the real world like never before. Cities were invaded by Pokémon waiting to be caught and trained by the best and most dedicated players and Braga is no exception!

The launch of Pokémon GO has provided a new way of living the city. In the middle of summer, days and nights are enjoyed walking around, hanging out, having a drink and, of course, catching Pokémon! Do you want to catch them all? Then discover the city’s coolest Pokéstops and Gyms and explore Lisbon while adding monsters that you’ve never seen to your Pokédex!

Bom Jesus. Overlooking the city, with many terraces and stairways, Bom Jesus is the perfect place to catch Pokémon, hatch eggs and help the team win the opponent's gym! Do you think Bulbasaur may be hiding in the cave?

Braga’s Cathedral. This is one of the most popular gyms and, consequently, one of the most difficult to conquer, along with the fact that it’s surrounded by several Pokéstops. Use one of your strongest Pokémon to guard the country’s oldest cathedral, while visiting one of Braga’s most important tourist spots.

Avenida Central. Surrounded by iconic cafes, two gyms are waiting for the strongest team. In this area of the city you can earn experience points to go up another level and, of course, fill your backpack thanks to all the Pokéstops in the area. The Lapa Church, the Nogueira da Silva Museum, the Monument in honor of Pope John Paul II (directly across from the Centésima Página bookstore where you can stop for a coffee) and the pyramids are just a few examples! We found the Parasect near the Tourist Office!

Gnration. A cool Pokéstop, which receives the most diverse artists, concerts and exhibitions, and that fully supports Pokémon GO players, having recently organized a Lure Party! This is an unmissable Pokéstop if the number of Poké Balls in your backpack is low.

Santa Barbara Garden. The city’s most beautiful garden is a Pokéstop that hides the best potions and, among its flowers, the most colorful Pokémon.

Braga’s Municipal Stadium. Do you like football and Pokémon GO? Then you're in the right place! Visit the stadium designed by architect Eduardo Souto Moura, the 2011 Pritzker winner of the "Nobel Architecture Prize", and take the opportunity to battle in the gym you’ll find here! Discover the transformation of a quarry into the city’s coolest stadium and train your pocket monsters!

Biscainhos Museum. A Pokéstop with a magnificent garden and a trip back to the past. Find out more about a noble family and, during the visit, receive various items that will help you capture the rarest of Pokémon!

Theatro Circo. Another Pokéstop that honors culture and the arts! Theatro Circo is an invitation for you to discover the best artists and, of course, the most powerful Pokémon. Visit its Noble Room and get to know a little bit more about its century-old story, while increasing the number of monsters in your Pokédex!

A Brasileira. Launching Poké Balls, battling in gyms and hatching eggs can be tiring, so we end this list of suggestions with one that will surely help you recover some energy, without losing sight of the more curious of Pokémon. Have a coffee at A Brasileira, one of the Pokéstops that attracts more Pokémon, thanks to the Lures surrounding it.

Pokémon has invaded the city of Braga and sometimes they can be hard to find and catch. However, as a fan of the game, we believe you’ll be able to catch them all! Have a great game!
