Dona Júlia Restaurant

the very best of traditional Minho flavors

For those who enjoy the traditional flavors of Minho, this is certainly a restaurant worth considering. A space that presents its visitors with 3 distinct rooms, each one with its own personality. Those who prefer a more modern design, where walls are decorated with bottles of champagne, where there is a unique and elegant bar where you can enjoy a glass of champagne accompanied by delicious cod cakes, should choose the champagne room; those who prefer smart words smiling upon their food, usually choose the red room; and those who prefer something more rustic, normally opt for the upstairs room.

Those familiar with this space, located next to one of the most famous curves of the old Falperra race circuit, where pilots of other times put their skills into action, bringing many motorsports fans to Braga, know that this space continues to honor those times with good, traditional Minho food that is still served in clay bowls, but now in a space with modern décor.

So, what can we eat here?! Some standouts include red bean rice with fried octopus cakes; roasted goatling with roasted potatoes and rapini; as well as the traditional cod. For dessert, we highlight the famous Abade de Priscos pudding that, extremely well made, leaves nothing to be desired, especially for anyone who is a fan of this treat.

During the summer, the terrace, with a very nice view over the calm landscape that surrounds the restaurant, is highly recommended.

We must also mention the hospitality with which Braga Cool was received and whoever knows this place knows that they were, are and will always be welcome here.
