Juno

goddess of the bars in Braga’s mythology

In Roman mythology, Juno is the goddess of all gods and wife of Jupiter. In the movie world, it is a film that sarcastically portrays teenage pregnancy. In the music world, it is a renowned brand of amplifiers. In Braga, Juno is a tribute to all those references in Alexander, Paul and John’s bar, located on Anjo Street.

Juno is a cultural house with three floors – on the ground floor you can watch a concert. For shopping, climb up to the first floor where you’ll find a shop by a local creator, as well as some antique pieces. To chat, have a drink and dance, stay on the first floor. To view an exhibition, installation and/or participate in yoga classes, go up another floor and you’ll be in the right place: the 2nd floor. And… for relaxing outside on warmer nights, or for special events, there is always a garden waiting for you on the ground floor, at the back of the building.

If you like to dance, the sound of music chosen for the weekend is electronic and, during the week, the soundtrack is based on rock and world music.

As you can see, from 9 p.m. on, there are plenty of reasons to stop by Juno: go directly to the 1st floor, try a “pastel de nata” shot, and then go exploring the house’s corners.
